Rocky Patel Cigars

Rocky Patel Cigars were founded as the Indian Tabac Cigar Co. during the premium cigar boom of the mid-90s by Los Angeles-based entertainment attorney Rocky Patel. Patel was introduced to cigars by smoking with actors like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Mel Gibson, and Gene Hackman in between takes on set. Soon afterward, Patel sold his legal practice and spent half a decade in Honduras to learn everything about the cigar trade from initial tobacco cultivation to the manufacturing process.

In 2002 Patel changed the name of the company to Rocky Patel Cigars and subsequently released his Vintage series that were lauded by the Robb Report as the "Best of the Best" receiving ratings of 92 for the Vintage 1992 Robusto and 90 for the Vintage 1992 Torpedo. The next year Patel brought on his brother Nish Patel, a former commodities broker, as Executive Vice President to help stabilize and grow the company.

Rocky Patel Premium Cigars are now known as one of the foremost cigar brands in the world with sticks ranging from the inexpensive to the premium. During the cigar making process, tobacco leaves are purchased from Honduran growers and then produced in Rocky Patel owned factories in Esteli, Nicaragua, and El Paraíso, Honduras.
