Montecristo Cigars is a brand and company that produces cigarettes and premium cigars. It is owned by Imperial Brands and produced by Habanos S.A. in Cuba, Altadis in the Dominican Republic, and the National Tobacco Company. 

It was first introduced in 1935 by Alonso Menendez and after 86 years, the company still continues to provide quality products. 

Today, the Montecristo Cigars have become popular to many cigar users and have reached the No.2 best cigar brand all over the world. 

How it is made

The tobacco that arrives in the production factory is already in dried sheets, they are then moistened, stripped, sorted by color, and strength.

The company uses a blender to mix the leaves with their special recipes before going to the production room. Then, the final leaves are rolled by the torcedor with an estimate of 100 cigars to produce in a day.  

Montecristo Cigar Brands

Over the years, the company has innovated its cigar composition to meet the general and selected market.

They have produced a variety of classic to exquisite tasting cigars. Some of their well-known brands are Montecristo Artisan Series, Montecristo 2000, Montecristo Vintage ‘93 Club Cabinet, Montecristo Peruvian, Montecristo Afrique, Montecristo White Series, and others more.
