As the burn progresses, subtle hints of spice begin to emerge, adding a delightful complexity without overpowering the palate. This well-balanced interplay of flavors ensures a dynamic smoking experience from start to finish.
Unpacking the Tasting Notes
During our review, the initial draw presented notes of rich, dark earth, quickly followed by a pleasant peppery kick. The Costa Rican wrapper contributes a unique creaminess that rounds out the sharper spice, creating a harmonious blend. In the second third, the spice mellows slightly, allowing a nuanced sweetness, reminiscent of dried fruit or dark chocolate, to come forward. The construction was impeccable, delivering a consistently smooth draw and an even burn, producing a firm, silvery-gray ash. This cigar truly showcases the masterful blending of Nicaraguan, Honduran, and Dominican filler tobaccos.

It offers enough potency to feel substantial without being overwhelming, making it a versatile choice for various occasions. The expertly aged tobaccos ensure a smooth delivery of its robust characteristics, preventing any harshness often associated with stronger blends.
